In order for the kennel to run smoothly and efficiently we have to be appointment only. You can set an appointment time when you call or email in your reservation between the morning hours of 10-12 and the afternoon hours of 4-6. This is just like anywhere else that you may set an appointment, it is time specific. It will throw off our entire schedule when people just randomly show up or are early or late. We schedule certain activities and duties and much needed staff breaks around our appointments. If you need to change your appointment with us, that is always fine. We just require notification via phone call at minimum 2 hours before appointed time. Please also be aware that "sometime in the morning or afternoon" is not a time. Thanks to all for understanding!
It is common for pet guests to be tired after the kennel experience, particularly if it is their first stay. We do provide as much stress free as possible however the stay can be more stimulating than the home environment. Often "PUP" will rest/nap at home a lot more for the first few days. If you feel that there are other concerns, notify us as soon as you can so we can discuss or help you with any questions you may have with their stay. We care, greatly, about your pet. We keep detailed records of your pet's stay and often that can provide information about the physical and mental condition of your pet while in our care. We would of course, tell you of anything we have noticed upon check out.
Our policy is to call the client immediately if there are any red flags, no exceptions. We want to make sure that we provide the best care possible, we take this very seriously. Often you, the client, may have forgotten to tell us a detail and because we may notice things in our multiple daily physical checks, we have been known to call/message and are relieved with the extra information.
Details down to who their friends are at the kennel to where they stayed at in the building, to special dietary needs are always added to their file in our software. Each stay may provide new things to ad but it does paint a better picture for us to better care for your dog and communicate with you, the client/ pet parent!
